Stephen Copek

Arabella Advisors

Stephen is an associate director on the Managed Organizations team. In this role, he supports several nonprofits that Arabella manages, primarily the New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity. He helps institutional foundations and philanthropists implement grant-making funds, establish donor collaboratives, and incubate new projects. Stephen’s portfolio contains a wide range of both domestic and international projects, primarily focused on conservation, environmental, and food security issues.

Prior to joining Arabella, Stephen served in a number of grant-making, strategic planning, and project management roles at mission-driven organizations. Most notably, Stephen spent five years at Rotary International, where he oversaw a portfolio of humanitarian grants for projects being implemented by Rotary Clubs throughout Africa and the Middle East. He later served on the organization’s Strategy, Research, and Evaluation team. An AmeriCorps alum, Stephen served at the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago, where he participated in disaster response and planning.

Stephen holds a BA in political science and geography from the University of Iowa and an MPA from DePaul University’s School of Public Service.
