Samantha Sachs
Atlas Corps
Samantha graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Global Studies, focusing on Latin American countries. Her intense interest in other cultures and passion for education resulted in Samantha accepting an English teaching position at a college in southern China.
After China, Samantha proudly served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine where she was an instructor of business and conversational English at the university and high school levels. She partnered with USAID on HIV/AIDS education projects and also worked with the U.S. Embassy sponsored Windows on America. She is most proud of organizing a seminar for local English teachers as well as assisting high school students in applying for the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program.
Samantha currently works as a Program and Development Manager for Atlas Corps; an international non profit organization. In her current role, Samantha is in charge of organizing fundraising events, managing conference delegations, working with individual donors, coordinating the Atlas Corps volunteer network and leading the application and vetting process. Last spring she successfully completed “Lead In”, a leadership training program with other emerging leaders in the non profit industry.
