Rebecca Hershey
Rebecca Hershey, Esq. is Youth Services Program Manager for Goodwill Industries International, located in the DC area. An attorney and advocate by trade, Hershey has cultivated a career in civil rights and social justice in the nonprofit arena: establishing coalitions, representing youth in the juvenile justice system, and working with underrepresented people on connecting to community, accessing education, and their rights and responsibilities. Prior to her time at Goodwill Rebecca managed the Face the Truth Campaign against racial profiling for Rights Working Group, a coalition of over 250 organizations and was the Racial Justice Project Staff Attorney for American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of North Carolina, where she directed the Racial Justice Project, dealing with racial discrimination, immigrants’ rights and the school to prison pipeline. Rebecca is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Maine School of Law. She currently lives in Portland, Maine with her active and spirited family.
