Rachel Canter
Associate Director of the No Kid Hungry Social Innovation Fund, Share Our Strength
Rachel Canter is currently the Associate Director of the No Kid Hungry Social Innovation Fund at Share Our Strength, a national non¬profit organization working to end childhood hunger in America. In this role, Rachel serves as a liaison to multiple state-¬based anti-hunger organizations to implement plans to increase participation in the federal nutrition programs and nutrition education.
She also has past experience in political fundraising and nonprofit fundraising. Rachel served as the Deputy Finance Director on the Jeff Merkley for U.S. Senate Campaign in Oregon and worked on major donor teams at the American Association for Justice and the League of Conservation Voters. Throughout her career, Rachel has enjoyed working across different stakeholder groups and activating community networks for progressive change.
In 2015, Rachel joined the board of directors of Community Foodworks, an organization working to create market opportunities for local farmers and food producers while increasing access to healthy, local food for customers of all income levels.
Rachel has a degree in political science and socio-cultural anthropology from the George Washington University.
