Pat Wilson is a ProInspire Fellow with Accion’s Frontier Investments Group, an early growth-stage venture capital fund that invests in new technologies and disruptive business models that enhance the way financial products and services are delivered to consumers at the base of the economic pyramid. As Impact Investing Fellow, Pat focuses exclusively on emerging and frontier markets, supporting Frontier throughout its investment and portfolio management process. His early career focused on middle-market leveraged buyouts where he worked as an investment banker and private equity investor at Citigroup, National City and Brazos Private Equity Partners. Most recently, he served as a senior associate in the Private Equity Group of HBK Capital Management, a global hedge fund managing $14 billion in capital. Pat left HBK in 2008 to co-found Antelope Capital Partners, a double bottom-line real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition, renovation and management of low-income housing. As Managing Partner of Antelope, he was responsible for rehabilitating and bringing to market over 1,000 affordable housing units throughout the southern United States. Pat attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a bachelor of science in economics with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship. Pat’s spare time is spent being a sailor, triathlete, and avid world explorer having recently spent 18 months traveling, volunteering, and blogging his way through 45 countries.
