Naomi Sosa

Corporate Fundraising Officer, National Council of La Raza

Naomi Sosa currently works as a Corporate Fundraising Officer at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) – the leading civic rights and advocacy group championing causes important to Latinos such as economic empowerment, healthcare reform, education, and homeownership. As a Friend-raiser, Naomi is tasked with seeking new partnership opportunities for the organization, building and managing corporate relationships, organizing cultivation events, and creating awareness of the many impactful programs NCLR’s Affiliates are undertaking.

Prior to joining NCLR, Naomi participated in The Washington Center’s Non-Profit Management course, while also working as a Public Policy Associate at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. It was then, that Naomi nurtured her passion for advocating on issues that were important to her community, and she developed a keen interest in working within the non-profit sector. Naomi holds a BA in Psychology from LeMoyne College – a small Jesuit institution in Syracuse, NY; and she’s currently exploring options for continuing studies.

Outside of work, Naomi enjoys traveling, eating at new and diverse restaurants, reading “How To” books, volunteering, visiting friends and family back in NYC, and trying fitness classes around DC.
