
Miriam Kirubel
LIFT
Miriam Kirubel is the National Program Manager at LIFT, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering families to break the cycle of poverty. At LIFT, Miriam manages the design and implementation of LIFT’s career pathways programming and works closely with the development team to provide support on fundraising and managing national grants. Before joining LIFT, Miriam served as the Senior Program Coordinator on the Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship team at Vital Voices Global Partnership where she supported the management of a business accelerator fellowship and a mentoring program for women entrepreneurs in sub-Saharan Africa. She also contributed to design and implementation of communications strategy for all economic empowerment programs. Prior to her work at Vital Voices, she researched welfare policy and racial disparities in the criminal justice system as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia and conducted development research and donor prospecting at the Afterschool Alliance. Finally, Miriam interned at the U.S. Department of State and as a Program Manager with MY Webinars, where she organized educational webinars for corporate audiences. Miriam received her B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
