Malika Moore, LICSW, LCSW-C combines her profession with her passion where she serves as Clinical Manager for the HOMBUILDERS® program at Catholic Charities. The District of Columbia Ward 8 HOMBUILDERS® team serves children and families by providing intensive, in-home crisis intervention, counseling, life skills, and education for the families whose children are at risk for removal. As a clinical social worker, she also provides contract in-home psychotherapy and consultation, specifically on aging related issues. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Samford University in 2009, and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Alabama in 2011.
Malika currently serves as one of the Managing Directors for the 2016-2018 Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Washington, DC’s (YNPNdc) Board of Directors and joined as a member in July 2016. She enjoys inspiring and equipping others through motivational speaking and currently serves as Toastmasters District 36, Area 74 Director. In her spare time, Malika mentors college students in the DMV area. Her heart for communities and those underserved drives her personal mantra: “We are all bound and responsible for the outcomes of those we serve directly and indirectly.”
