Kimberly Johnson

Kimberly Johnson is the Senior T.E.A.C.H. DC Program Manager at the National Black Child Development Institute. She began her career as an early childhood teacher in Raleigh, North Carolina, teaching preschool and pre -kindergarten students. After 4 years of working in an early learning center, she spent five years as a first-grade educator in the District of Columbia Public School System. She also worked as an instructor for The New Teacher Project, where she led professional development for first year teachers. Kimberly earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from American University.
