Achievement Prep, Special Projects Manager

Dave Newberry is a ProInspire Fellow at Achievement Preparatory Academy (APA), an award-winning, Tier-1 public charter middle school serving communities east of the Anacostia River. As Special Projects Manager, he will be charged with the development of APA’s strategic plan and the launch of a new facility for the school.Dave graduated at the top of his class from Emory University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a concentration in finance. Since then, he has worked in both the investment management industry as a financial analyst (at both Goldman Sachs and a private family office) and in education as the founder of a tutorial services company in Atlanta (Boon Lee Tutorial Services). Dave owes his decision to switch to the nonprofit sector to inspiration from Andrea Hershatter, a mentor and former entrepreneurship professor of his at Goizueta Business School.
