Deidra Anderson

My name is Deidra Anderson. I’m from Richmond, VA and an alumnus of Morgan State University and Towson University. At Morgan, I studied Political Science and interned for Baltimore’s City Council President. My experience attending Towson University was a little more dynamic. As an adult learner, I worked full time and pursued my Masters of Arts degree in Educational Policy and Development part time.

I currently am an Admissions Specialist for Year Up, a national profit that specializes in training young adults 18-24 in informational technology and career enhancing soft skills.  My occupational experience includes: Northern Virginia Community College  from 2010 until 2014, assisting with cultivating area community based partnerships. Prior to working at NOVA, I spent two years with AmeriCorps, as a Mentor/Tutor and was employed with Morgan State University for three years, as an Undergraduate Admission Officer.

I enjoy traveling, shopping and spending time with my family.
