Jane Mitchell

Jane Mitchell is the Founder and CEO of The Reset Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers young adults trapped in the criminal justice system by operating education-focused “Reset campuses.”  Prior to Reset, Jane helped found the ROADS Charter Schools and worked as an attorney in the corporate department of Kaye Scholer, LLP.  She taught in jails for several years in San Francisco, Utah, and New York City, and also worked on the Strategy & Accountability team of NYC’s Dept of Education (District 79, Alternative Schools and Programs). She graduated from Stanford in Political Science, and holds a JD from Columbia Law School and an EdM in Educational Leadership from Columbia Teachers College. She is a former Echoing Green Fellow and is listed on this year’s FORBES 30 Under 30 list.
