Leah Bowers

Leah Bowers, at Year Up Bay Area since 2011, works with both external and internal stakeholders on its regional management team.  Passionate about social justice and service-driven work, she has a background in the non-profit and public sectors with an emphasis on access to educational pathways and workforce development for under-resourced communities.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University.  Raised in the Sierra Nevada foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, she lives in Marin County with her two children where they take advantage of the great weather as much as they can.
