Andrea Horak

Accion

Andrea Horak is currently a Lead Specialist, Program and Operations with the Global Advisory Solutions (GLAS) team, and has been with Accion since December 2012. In her current role, Andrea facilitates the implementation and operationalization of the GLAS strategy, manages the department’s annual budget and knowledge management work, and supports the department’s knowledge and collaboration agenda. She also supports GLAS thought leadership and industry engagement on Accion’s key areas of focus through conducting research and analysis on sector trends and innovations, engages in advisory service projects, and supports the creation and dissemination of materials that capture Accion’s intellectual capital.     During her time at Accion, Andrea has also worked as a Training and Capacity Building Specialist, as the Development Events Coordinator in Resource Development and as a Program Coordinator for the Center for Financial Inclusion, where she supported the Investing in Inclusive Finance team. Prior to Accion, Andrea worked as a Business Development Associate at a small e-commerce startup, and held multiple internships at global NGOs, including Grameen Bank in Dhaka, Bangladesh and with the National Federation of Colombian Coffee Growers in Bogota, Colombia.    Andrea holds a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies and Spanish from Colgate University. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a basic understanding of Brazilian Portuguese.
