Eugene Kim

Development Manager, City First Enterprises

As the Development and Communications Manager at City First Enterprises, Eugene leads and coordinates City First’s fundraising efforts through institutional, individual, and government outreach.
Eugene joined City First after serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA. As an AmeriCorps VISTA, Eugene focused on resource development and building the CRM database to better equip the organization to raise support. Prior to becoming a VISTA, Eugene worked with groups like Waco Arts Initiative, Bethel China, and Korean Central Presbyterian Church, build out their own fundraising capacities, he also was an intern with Baylor University’s Development Division. Eugene graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he received his BBA in Marketing with a specialization in Nonprofit Development, Leadership, and Service.
Outside his ‘professional’ life, Eugene considers himself a jack of one-too-many-trades. From being a member at makerspace TechShop to his photography antics to his many side-side-side hustles, Eugene often earns the unfortunate title of “wizard of all things prone to breaking”. If you ever run into him be sure to ask about what the recent project is, because its sure to be an odd one.
