Pooja Raval

Director of Managed Organizations, Arabella Advisors

Pooja Kadakia Raval is a director with the Managed Organizations team at Arabella Advisors. She provides support to Arabella’s managed nonprofits, primarily the New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3). Pooja helps philanthropists incubate and launch public interest projects, donor collaboratives, and grant-making projects.

Pooja’s portfolio at Arabella includes global development and advocacy projects that focus on issues of women’s empowerment and global education. Prior to joining Arabella Advisors, Pooja spent several years working as an appointee for the United States government at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). As part of her work, she helped manage development programs throughout Asia, supported the government’s efforts to re-open a USAID mission in the region, and helped coordinate the emergency response efforts in the Philippines following Typhoon Yolanda.

Previously, Pooja worked in the general counsel’s office of the White House Office of Management and Budget, where she drafted executive orders and presidential memoranda to issue key policy initiatives for federal agencies and White House offices. Pooja earned a BA in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. Pooja is admitted to the bar in the state of California.
