ProInspire Selected as Curation Partner for New Independent Sector Focus Area on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
ProInspire is proud to be the curation partner and issue expert for the newly-launched Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion focus area hub hosted by Independent Sector (IS), the leadership network for nonprofits, foundations, and corporations committed to advancing the common good. Today IS unveiled three focus area hubs that will serve as foundational tools for its member organizations and the wider sector across these topic areas: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Nonprofit Capital; and Organizational Relationships. Each hub aggregates important content on the topic and aims to provide a bridge between the questions and challenges organizations face, and the abundance of literature describing proven practices and promising developments in each focus area.
Over the first half of 2016, Independent Sector partnered with issue experts, including ProInspire, to search for the best thinking and strongest resources for each focus area. Our role in this effort included researching top literature on the topic, selecting the best resources for the hub, and drafting summaries of each resource to convey the key takeaways and relevance to the IS audience. We are grateful to Ericka Hines, Principal of Every Level Leadership, for her partnership in this curation effort. In addition to ProInspire, IS selected Urban Institute and Presidio Institute as curation partners for the Nonprofit Capital and Organizational Relationships hubs, respectively.
ProInspire also authored a blog post, Why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Matter, to add original content to the focus area and help frame its perspective on this important topic.
We will continue in our curation role throughout 2016 as we select more articles, tools, and actionable resources to add to the focus area hub, so be sure to check the site often.
